ABOUT US

While consistantly devoted to the advancement and health awareness for our beloved OES, I have been involved in all facets of the sport of Pure-Bred dogs since 1972. During these 37 years I have held ongoing Board positions including Director and Chairmanship roles in Del Sur and Cabrillo all-breed Kennel Clubs, and been Editor (3 years) of a 13 page monthly newsletter for our OESC of San Diego. I enjoy reaching out to new members as a friend, mentor and educationally through my handling classes. As an AKC Judge I was honored to judge the Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Chicago and Seattle OES Specialties.

Successfully breeding OES under the “Cottonwood” prefix, I have owner/handled 31 Champions and proudly showed Ch Cottonwood Thief of Hearts to a Best In Show. Cottonwood OES have been: winners at OES Specialties, Top Twenty qualifiers (3), and ROM OES (6). Ch Cottonwood Come Fly With Me went to live “down under” where he became the New Zealand “Top Dog all breeds in 2004” (Proplan) – the first OES to win this award.

OES Rescue has always been a passion of mine, even before it became an organized effort. As Western Region Director two of my top priorities will be that we communicate to work together for the health of our breed and to fight legislation that may harm our sport. I am a dedicated worker and pledge to invest my efforts to these benefits for our OES.

I welcome the responsibility of Western Region Director and the opportunity to serve the OESCA membership.
